As we bid farewell to another eventful month, it’s time to reflect upon the extraordinary accomplishments and breakthroughs that have unfolded in the last 2 months. From being shortlisted in prestigious challenges to going on a business expedition trip to USA, May has truly been a month to remember for Entomal. In this blog post, we will delve into some of the noteworthy achievements that have marked this period as a time of progress and achievements.
1. Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge 2022: Entomal is shortlisted in the zero-waste category of the Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge 2022.
The 4th edition of the Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge, organized by Enterprise Singapore, seeks to unite industry partners and innovators in developing local and regional sustainable solutions. The challenge addresses critical themes such as Green Buildings, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Food Source, Zero-waste, Sustainable Materials, and Packaging. Winners will have the opportunity to engage in co-innovation with corporate partners, access mentorship and resources, and potentially receive grant support and funding opportunities.
2. Digital Village (DiVa) Accelerator programme: Entomal is selected as one of the top 5 start-ups that would be joining the accelerator programme. Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) has launched the Diva Programme, an initiative aimed at empowering technology startups in Malaysia. With a generous grant of RM150,000, the programme provides crucial financial support to startups, while also fostering innovation and growth through mentorship and industry connections. By driving the digital transformation agenda and positioning Sarawak as an innovation hub, SDEC aims to fuel the growth of the digital economy and attract talent and investment. 3. SelectUSA Investment Summit 2023: Entomal is proud to be selected as part of the 11 Malaysian tech start-up that would be participating in a series of investment and pitching events in the United States under the lead of SELANGOR Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit is an annual event organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce that brings together businesses, investors, and economic development organizations to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. The summit serves as a platform for showcasing the country’s investment opportunities, connecting participants with key stakeholders, and facilitating partnerships. It aims to attract and facilitate international investment, driving economic growth, job creation, and innovation in the United States.
4. Petronas FutureTech 3.0: One of the selected 35 start-ups out of 400 from 24 countries to present our business case at the Petronas Future Tech 3.0 Pitch Day. 20 shortlisted startups from the pitch day will then undergo a 16-week programme consisting of masterclasses, workshops and coaching by Corporate Partners, industry mentors, and global entrepreneurs.
PETRONAS FutureTech aims to drive positive change and sustainability in the industry, supporting agile startups that are adapting to these changes with new innovations and technologies.
It serves as a platform for PETRONAS & Corporate Partners from the Asia Pacific region to influence the tech-driven startup ecosystem through serving its business needs and creating a positive socio-economic impact for the community and the Nation.
5. Bioeconomy PRESTIGE Accelerator Programme: Shortlisted as one of the 8 company in Malaysia to join the accelerator programme
